From my childhood days I loved to draw, I was encouraged by my primary school teacher to pursue art. My mother always praised my art work, she helped me sell my first oil painting of a tiger. Many people have encouraged me over the years to continue to pursue drawing.

I was born in Drogheda Co. Louth Ireland, 25/05/58. I grew up in Co. Meath, we lived in a lodge house to an estate. It was here I learned to love nature, and through a friend I learned all about the wild life in my area. Birds were of real interest to me, especially the birds of prey. In my drawings I want to attempt to relay the beauty I find in creation. I also have a keen interest in dna geneology, my Y-DNA is R1b, which by some is called the Artisans, and my mtdna is haplogroup I, which is known as the Scribes. I had an uncle "Jack" that liked to paint. I have found that a lot of my maternal-dna matches in mtDNA Hg I4a are artistic also, maybe its in the genes?
